Hey everyone I was doing some reading on MensHealth.com and came across this article talking about ways to power up your brain through exercise through new research with the help of new technology. One thing that I learned from this article was that through strength training for 60 minutes, three times a week for 6 months can help improve short-and long-term memory along with attention performance. This is why I enjoy exercising because it offers you benefits pills, surgery and as seen on TV can’t. Check out the article and I encourage everyone to read, become empowered and exercise as often as you can! Thanks for reading, goodnight

Back To Work…
12 06 2012Hey folks, today was a great day had a great time in West LA at the Univision Radio Network with my pal Randy Economy and radio personality Fernando Espuelas talking local politics. Lets cut to the chase today was my cheat day as I enjoyed soda, burger, fries and chocolate cake. I haven’t ate this much in twenty days and boy have I paid for it already, if you know what I mean. This week I have a few simple goals: (5) workouts, improve one rep per set and stay hydrated. As of Monday, day 22 of 88 in my summer commitment program it’s time to set-up to achieve my goals of the summer. Here is a snap shot of my progression thus far:

6.04.12 weight: 194.4 body fat: 17.5% bmi: 26.3
Stay tuned and keep going on your journey!

Am I Eating to Live or Living to Eat?
9 06 2012Hey what’s up readers? I am sitting here reflecting about my day and I think back to this afternoon when I drove through the drive-thru window picking up my tacos and large coke it felt like the old days of eating in the car on the go. Thinking back to that moment it’s a reminder to me as I slipped into my old habit of eating fast-food as my sense of discipline went away. It was a moment that I didn’t like the old eating habits and afterwords feeling sluggish. The million dollar question is am I going through life living to eat or eating to live? My gut from the past tells me that I was living to eat as I rolled through the drive-thru and enjoyed endless carbs and sweets, the things this country can’t get enough of. As my journey moves along my goal is transition into a person that is eating to live along with a healthy balanced diet and exercise. Well, it’s getting late so I am off to bed thanks for reading and next time ask yourself are you eating to live or living to eat before you take that next bite.

Why I Workout ..
2 06 2012Men are not prisoners of fate, but only prisoners of their own minds.” ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt
This is why I am starting to love the whole workout scene it makes me a free soul human being, away from the confines of social media and box of life we live inside of.
